The Town of Gawler is pleased to announce the establishment of the new Gawler Business & Economic Development Committee, a key advisory group designed to strengthen collaboration between Council and the local business community to support long-term economic growth. The Committee will consist of six independent local business representatives and one Council representative, each bringing on-the-ground insight, experience, and a deep understanding of Gawler’s economic environment. Their expertise will help guide Council on future initiatives, programs and actions that support a resilient and thriving local economy. The Committee is preparing for its first meeting on 13th of April.

Why this matters for Gawler

The Committee has been created to:

• Champion local enterprise

• Guide and inform Council on future economic initiatives, programs, and events

• Support sustainable business growth across the region

• Ensure decisions reflect the true opportunities, challenges, and strengths of our local economy - from people living and working it every day
